Samantha Greenwood, Registered Psychologist

Samantha Greenwood, M.C., is a Registered Psychologist practicing in Alberta with over ten years’ counselling experience in both clinical and crisis settings. She has worked therapeutically with First Responders for many years, serving paramedics, fire fighters, police, and Canadian veterans. She favours an evidence-based approach to therapy, specializing in chronic worrying, obsessive- compulsive disorder (OCD) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Her approach can be describes as authentic, down-to-earth, and “no-nonsense”.

In addition to being a practicing clinician, she is also a researcher at the University of Alberta, pursuing her PhD in Counselling Psychology. Her research concerns the mental health of medical professionals, examining how occupational stressors interact with one’s sense of resiliency and identity. In her free time she enjoys watching horror movies or playing video games with her husband and son.
