Therapeutic Assessments

Do you want to better understand yourself?

At our practice, therapeutic assessments are offered by Dr. Laura Friesen, a registered psychologist with specialized training in psychological evaluation and specifically, the therapeutic assessment model.

What Is a Therapeutic Assessment?

A therapeutic assessment is a collaborative, in-depth evaluation designed not only to answer diagnostic questions, but to provide meaningful insight and foster personal growth. Unlike a standard assessment, the process is structured to be a therapeutic experience in itself — helping you better understand yourself, your challenges, and your strengths.

What to Expect

Therapeutic assessments may include:

  • Clinical interviews and background history gathering

  • Psychological testing

  • Collaborative feedback sessions to review findings together

  • A written report or letter summarizing results and personalized recommendations

Who Can Benefit?

Therapeutic assessments at our clinic can support individuals seeking clarity around:

  • Emotional and behavioural concerns

  • Mood, anxiety, or personality-related questions

  • Diagnostic clarification for personal or professional purposes

  • Dr. Friesen is currently not offering cognitive or achievement testing in an online format.
